Following the sacking of Ernesto Valverde, Quique Setién was appointed as the new manager by FC Barcelona, with hopes of improving the performance of the squad.

But it turns out that Setién hasn’t really made his mark yet as his side lost 2-0 to Valencia on Saturday in La Liga.

Although FC Barcelona dominated in terms of possession, they weren’t clinical in front of goal. During the first 10 minutes of the match, Valencia didn’t even touch the ball once!

Lionel Messi had a number of chances in the match, but its fair to say that it wasn’t his day either, as the number 10 missed quite a few opportunities.

Before this match against Valencia, Barça struggled against Ibiza in the Copa Del Rey. The match ended 1-2 in Barça’s favour, thanks to Griezmann‘s late goal in injury time.

Does Setién have what it takes to prove that he’s the man for the job? Only time will tell us.
